Many of the vestibular diagnoses that we treat are:
BPPV

Vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis
Meniere’s Disease
Mild TBI / Concussion
PPPD
Age related dizziness
Imbalance / falls
Central vestibular dysfunction (ex: cerebellar ataxia, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis)
Bilateral vestibular hypofunction
Acoustic neuroma
Cervicogenic dizziness
Motion sensitivity
Often times, you may find that you have symptoms of dizziness, imbalance, or vertigo but with no known diagnosis or cause yet - which is okay. We can be a resource and help guide you towards the answers you need in our evaluation and assessment.

Booking a free consultation call with Dr. Alma is highly recommended. This way you can “meet” Alma, ask questions and discuss if vestibular/concussion rehab would be beneficial for you.
-
Be Balanced Physical Therapy is a cash based physical therapy practice, or in other words “out-of-network.” This means that you pay for PT services at the time of your evaluation/treatment.
**HSA/FSA funds can usually be used for physical therapy.
** Super bills can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company to request partial or full reimbursement.
Benefits of cash-based PT:
Dr. Alma works for you, not for your insurance company. This means no insurance rules or limitations apply. You will have more access to Alma, sessions will be longer than traditional PT allows, and care will always be 1:1.
Less total PT appointments needed.
If you find yourself needing more guidance or coaching - this is now possible. You will have no insurance restrictions to contend with (no insurance caps, no authorizations needed, etc).

This varies on your impairments, goals and needs. BPPV is a common vestibular diagnosis that typically is resolved within 1-3 visits of well applied “positional maneuvers." Other vestibular diagnoses and symptoms could require closer to 3-6 sessions.
Ultimately, our goal is to educate and empower you to become your own physical therapist, using a minimal number of appointments.
However because we work for you, we are here to provide care for you for however long you require to reach your goals and return to the activities you love.
